Hi I am Vika this is my art work I wanted to paint this Maori art so I can hang it on the wall so when teachers and other people walk past they can see my Maori art. My art is the red square with the green fern leaf and green korus. I had a lot of fun making this cultural art.

Making Christmas cards for my mum and dad

This is my beautiful Christmas card that I made  for my lovely mum and dad my mum and dad worked so hard I wanted to give them a present Back  my Christmas card I wanted them to have my Christmas card because they worked so hard to pay for our Christmas presents. 

Teacher letter 2019

Dear 2019 Teacher my name is Vika I am 8 years old I am so excited to be in your class because I get a work on my own Chrome book I am so nervous I have 2 brothers and 1 sister my culture is Tongan an my family too. My favourite subject at school is writing because I get to write what I have done today or yesterday, I get to make up a story about anything I want. My best friends  is kasaline my other best friend is lute I have been learning at home since the weekend from yesterday to Saturday. I have been reading books since the holiday,I like to read books because every time I read it i can see pictures in the same time when they read. When I need help from you it makes me happy when you help with words that I can’t spell. Thank you for being my 2019 teacher I like playing at the park with my friend her name is Kasaline I like playing with her at the park because it is amazing. me and Kasaline like  going to the playground because you can play on the monkey bar and the slide the bridge those things are amazing. But my favourite thing of all to do is the slide cause you an do a pose when you go down the slide. The slide is dark blue the monkey bar is green the tunnel is light blue. Last week I created cherry blossom art.

Rangoli art

Last week  rooms 19 and 20 and did rangoli art miss eadie gave us a peace of paper then we got started. We had to grab some crayons and do our pattern 

So i got started I was so excited my one was a Tongan pattern. I loved it was beautiful the colours I used were pink blue green and yellow I drawed a big circle and draw a dot in the middle. I did another circle o drawed like seaweed but Tonga flowers just not looking like it but I was nearly finished. But then it was home time! I needed to colour in the flower from the outside just 3 or 4 more but I am nearly done the shapes I used 2 circles I did the pattern myself it was kind nice. We used yellow for the outside and the green is for the leaves of the flower and colour it in. I used blue for for the hole circle we drawed the rangoli art because we were celebrating Diwali festival. We did this so we can dour recount and celebrating Diwali festival day. 

Princess harimau and the tiger

I learned that if you love a tiger then you turn into a tiger running throw the 

bushes climbing trees and not talking to anyone in your house.

There’s a boy under my bed

I learened that if you throw your marshmallow on the floor then you will see a 

human boy or girl hand popping out

Once upon a time there live a litttle girl called rebeca she loved going outside and playing with her animal friends she is 7 years old she gots yellow hair 

And pink and purple dress she went to her lovely wonderful mother called Audrey they live in a village and they had a little bit of food. So when so when will it go when inside the village she said your mother please! Mother can I go to the beach please I promise I will talk to strangers please and I will go over and and and then her mother said okay so she went with food and ice cream but when she saw this old man named email Rebecca news but she couldn’t stand it so she ran to me like hey we yes and need to get it then she went to the beach but when she when she saw the beautiful Beautiful she was excited so she woke up to the old staircase and she walked all the way up to the lookout looking down her friend so her so she can see Rebecca‘s friend Alina today when the when they got to the top they were at cuttey Land there were heaps of cute kittens with black cute eyes but after that there were fog everywhere but by the Time the fog went away but suddenly she and her friend saw a big fluffy white kitty cat but they couldn’t get past so they had to have an idea they got past and then they went home and she told her mum what she did she did for the hole day the end.

My new Duffy book.

Dear Duffy that you for giving me this lovely book called Ella diaries and thank you for giving me a chapter book and other childeren there Duffy book as well I appreciate what you gave me and my class and the other class there New Duffy book I enjoy my new book it interested me when I was reading it so I am going to read it when I finish I will know all the word thank you so much and to us all thank you Duffy. A tree house

Once upon a time there was a boy called john he had grandpa called Sam, they went to the enormous tree house. They went on a tall tall ladder to get to the top and when they got to the top john didn't know what his grandpa was doing until he got out his magic bubble wond that blows out clouds what ever shape they want and then Sam did a big buff and after that he told his grandson your turn Sam said, and then john had a try but when he tried and it didn't work but he tried again but it didn't work! So his grandpa thanked in his head until he got an Idea so Sam told john in sign language take a big breath and blowed so he did but when he took a big breath and blow but it didn't work and so he broken the bubble wond john was upset and then Sam went to check if john was ok so he looked at his bubble wond Sam was shocked! But john made a star then Sam blowed and then a love heart next john made a bunny rabbit and after that Sam said thank you for making all those shapes the end.

Healthy sandwich

On a cold cloudy day, Rooms 19 and 20 made healthy food. We did it at point England school we did it because it was our fun day. First we discussion about healthy food Next we had a peace of yummy soft bread. We had to pick what we want on our peace of bread it was rather ham, chicken or cheese or light green juicy lettuce, then it was a beautiful day so we went outside and ate our sandwiche after that it delicious and tasty Finally when I finished eating my sandwich then I went inside Rooms 20 class and I wrote my first sentence of my recount. I liked this activity because I felt hungery when I saw the sandwich I made I felt like I wanted to eat it when I just made it but we couldn't eat it because the from Crumpits.

Move your body

Last week on a sunny, beautiful day Rooms 19 and 20 did beautiful movement body art. Because it was our team 3 inquiry for move your body I teamed up with kasaline. First we took a photo. And next miss Eadie printed out our photo. We had to cut it out. After that I cut out three colourful shapes we did a supper girl pose and the colours i used were red, blue, and orange. Then we had to do our art which was a dye splatter. Finally we had to glue and stuck it on to our paper. I liked doing it because it's our team 3 inquiry for move your body and its fun and you also get to do fun stuff. Also you could splat every where on your paper.

About a butterfly called Dimond

Once upon a time there lived a butterfly called dimond she lived in fairy land. She lived in a rose where she could sleep. But one day bumblebees came to her land, and they took all the honey from the flowers, Dimond went down to a meeting. And she said too the bumble bee why did you want my honey, from my area the bees said it was because we couldn't find any other place to go then she said then I will take you where all the honey you can drink but you will have to promise me that you won't come back to my area again. But only you can come back only if you want to play you can ok, but the bees said can we play with you now until the end of the day they said she said hmm ok why not and they played tag they told each other's names the bee said to  her my name is Charles they were tired from playing then they played Simon says they did it slowly after that they had a rest after they had a rest they had a drink of honey they said yummy that was delicious and they went they said good bye I will see you tomorrow and they went to bed  and they sleep there mum said good night

Visiting the endeavour

This weeek we learnt about boats and the very famous endeavou. 

The man swimming in the pool

The man in the pool is swimming, is kicking his legs powerfully so he can go faster. He needed to paddle other wise he might of drowned in the deep water. He needed his sea goggles so he can see under water, he had to practise for a race. He had to paddle forward so he can win the race.

Fairy bread

On a rainy Monday morning rooms 19 and 20 made colourful rainbow fairy bread. First miss Eadie gave us a tissue and bread we had to put butter on it.

Next we added sprinkles next miss eadie had to put the popping candy on and we got to eat it. Miss eadie said we were allowed another fairy bread. But this time we got to put Nutella on our bread and we had to put sprinkles on out bread and we got to eat it 

Going to the zoo

Miss eadie got the sticker names out and called our group then we walked to the bus and we were at the zoo and we saw a red panda seals, penguins and hippos. We also saw saw big turtles and baboon i feel fabulous because i saw cool animals. The red panda looked like it had red and black and the penguins were white and black and the the hippos colour was grey the baboon was white and pink.

I disagree with Alex because if he lets the animals go then they will die. 

Eva lei I agree with you because zoos do keep animals safe. I agree that if the animals go they can die.

Gabriella I agree with you but have you thought about the animals feel badly locked up.

Vika I think that maybe animals have to stay in the zoos because it is a safe place for them.

The trouble with oatmeal

Autumn day

One hot autumn day there was a butterfly called Rachel. Rachel had two brown eyes and had to colourful butterfly wings. Rachel found a marvellous treee she saw a hole in it and she lived in it. One sunny morning it was nearly winter and Rachel had to collect food because winter was coming up and she had to hurry. Soon Rachel was lying down on the forest ground and she felt like she was dead then Rachel felt like she was floating in the sky and the next day she saw some fairies taking Rachel to a fantastic garden. All the fairies who carried Rachel put Rachel down gently all of a sudden Rachel felt like she was getting sick her tummy felt strange she thanked the fairies for saving her life and Rachel fell asleep near the water falls. When she woke up she saw her marvellous tree and she went inside her tree and went to sleep.
