Last week Immersion Assembly

In Term 2 it was the first day back at school. As soon as I arrived I was walking to class to see my friends and learn something new today. I was very excited to be back at school and everyone else was too. When we all put our Chromebooks out, and hung our bags on the chairs, we were all just talking until we heard the last bell go. So then we could go and line up for immersion assembly.

When we got to the hall for Immersion assembly we sat down on the ground and waited for assembly to start. As we were waiting the stickers were being given out to the people who were sitting up  and I was one of those people. After everything was set we all set down and got ready for assembly. First we talked about how everyone was excited to get back to school. After that 2 of the prefects said the karakia and the mihi to start the day off. The teachers had shown their videos representing the korero, and the korero was “ Watch this space” and all the videos were funny and told us some facts about the Earth system and how it works.

Mr Burt was holding certificates in his hands to give to the people who were “ caught being good”. As we listened to all the students' names being called out, we saw some of our classmates go up on stage. None of us know when we are going to get a certificate or not. Finally Mr Burt had announced the new kids to our school. We welcomed them into our school by saying “ Welcome to Point England School” and also giving them a round of applause like we always do.

Eventually it was time to end the assembly and head back to class. We would normally go to assembly I think by 8:50 to be early for what was going to happen. We got back to class at 10:00am and we always had another Immersion assembly of our own in our class. When we got to class we had to write a recount about what happened at Immersion assembly like what I’m doing now.

The Earth's Atmosphere

These are the layers of the Earth's Atmosphere, the Troposphere is the place we live where we can breath oxygen, but we only breath 20.95% of the oxygen while 78.08% of Nitrogen is the more of
what we breath, and a little of the other gases. Without the ozone layer the sun would burn us very quickly, without the atmosphere there would be no life on earth. The Atmosphere is all of the layers, beyond the Exosphere is space without any type of gasses. If the clouds had disappeared the noise on earth would be entirely quiet without the air.
