1. What was the article about? Write a 30 word summary of the article.

The article was about photosynthesis and how it works, how everything goes and what photosynthesis is. It explains what photosynthesis can do and its work with plants and the nutrients.

2. What do you think the author’s purpose for writing this article was?

I think the author's purpose was to tell us how photosynthesis works and what is but mainly what it is.

3. Identify 3 new words that you are unfamiliar with. Find the definition, and use the word in a sentence

Algae	A simple  non-flowering and typical aquatic plant.	They include certain types of bacteria and algae.
Substance	A particular kind of matter with uniform	Chlorophyll is a substance in all green substances, especially in leaves.
Carbon dioxide	Carbon dioxide is a colourless gas	Photosynthesis requires sunlight, chlorophyll, water, and carbon dioxide gas.

The first Idea was that I knew what photosynthesis is

The second Idea that came to mind was that how it all worked

The third Idea was that I knew the process of how plants grow

The fourth Idea was that Plants can give us oxygen to breathe and it contains life.
