→  they would place a hot-red stone in a wooden bowl of liquid and that was how they boiled the water.

6. Why do you think it was important for Māori to store their food underground, or above the ground?

→ so it could keep safe from others trying to steal it 


7. In your own words, explain how to build a hangi.

→ dig a pit then put long pieces of wood layered across the pit then add your ingredients with your hot water and boom done but make sure the wood is dry first and make sure there isn’t any flammable gas or live wires under your pi
