Amazon Rain forest facts

 



Fact 1. The amazon Rain forest is found in south america, the Rain forest spreads around nine countries so if it was a country it would be the ninth biggest country in the world.



Fact 2. 

The amazon is known as the lungs of the planet. It produces more than 20% of the worlds oxygen.



Fact 3.  More than half of all species of plants and animals to man live in the Rain forest. The loudest animal in the Rain forest is the toucan  can be heard from 1 km away. 


Fact 4. In the amazon it rains every four days a week. That’s a lot of rain.  That can add up to 10 m of water a year that is the same height as a three story height
